No, we can't build your board by Sunday for your trip

With this year already flying by, it’s nearing time for many of us to bare the fruits of our labour and embark on a flight North to the sun-rich, waves-rich, and Bintang-rich waters of Indonesia.

Now, we're always striving to build boards at the highest level of quality in the shortest time frame. In saying this, no, we can’t have your board ready for your trip on Sunday. So… here are your options:

A) Get organised. Give yourself 6-8 weeks minimum for your custom to be shaped and glassed with all the love and attention it deserves. You can build a custom through our custom board builder here.

B) Crisp board(s) on arrival. Yes, you can order and have your board ready to collect from any of our 4 Onboard Store locations in Bali. We use the same materials and skilled labour as we do here in Aus. For this one you'll need to leave 2-3 weeks and touch base with our Bali team at info@onboardbali.com.

C) Check the stock. We’ll have a healthy range of all shapes and sizes available at any time in any of our 6 locations, so in a worst-case scenario and you’ve booked a last-minute trip (lucky you), hit us up and we’ll do all we can.

With so many shapes and sizes out in the racks these days, here are a few that our Onboard Store Indonesia team finds themselves riding most of the time:

Christenson Surfboards OP4
i) HAPPY TRAVELER
Channel Island Surfboards

Versatility is key, and the Happy Traveler is built to have you covered for the range of Indo conditions out there. This is the staple board that can surf up to well overhead, crafted to harness and control the speed and power of the wave so you can surf with more freedom and confidence.

Christenson Surfboards OP4
ii) OP4
Chris Christenson Surfboards

Tested and proven to work when you’re graced with better waves the new OP4 from Chris’ Ocean Pro Series delivers dynamic performance, speed and hold. The OP4 has the most nose-to-tail curve in the whole series to fit into the shape of a steeper wave.

Tokoro Surfboards 4VC
iii) 4VC
Tokoro Surfboards

Wade Tokoro spends his Hawaiian Winters nestled in the bay creating boards for the best surfers in the world when they head to the North Shore. The likes of Gabriel Medina, Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning and Jamie O’Brien all trust his designs in waves of consequence… hence why the 4VC made this list. Best for tubes due to a tighter tail… which (hopefully) there will be plenty.

CI Pro
iv) CI PRO
Channel Island Surfboards

The most rockered board in CI’s line, the CI Pro is built for the highest level of performance. All that rocker paired with a single concave and a slight double off the tail means that in good waves you’ve got the most responsive vehicle of foam under your feet.
