The Humble Christenson Lane Splitter

Beau Cutty

A while back we sent a Lane Splitter to Neal, and after hearing how much he loved it we thought we'd ask if we can share his review with you. This is here to try provide another perspective on how this board goes and see if the staff/team favourite will work for you.

5'5" x 19 1/2 x 2 3/8 Lane splitter.

Probably the most fun board I have ever owned.
This is not a groveller, this is a performance surfboard but with a very different fresh feel from your thruster. Goes very well in a small wave with a bit of shape and push, super fast, super loose but not out of control.
Then step back onto that modern performance tail and it has all the hold and drive you need to surf with confidence in a bigger more powerful wave too. No need to nurse turns on this twinny.
Paddles very well, it surprised me how you can lean down on your chest with that shorter length and it powers into a steep drop beautifully. I have been surfing this board in every wave I surf, beachy, reef, point and small slab, backhand and forehand and having a blast. So so fun :)
Super quick, all the glide drive and hold you need and then that super fun twin fin slide too. I'm hooked!

Thanks Neal!

And in case you missed it, here is a lovely clip of Oscar Langburne on a Lane Splitter.
